What animals is it for?

Cats of all ages, and small dog breeds — Chihuahuas, Pomeranians,
Yorkies, Shih Tzus and similar. Go by neck measurement, not by
species.

Not suitable for medium or large dogs.

How do I wash it?

Hand wash in cold water, gently, and lay flat to dry.

Do not machine wash or tumble dry — the crochet will lose its
shape.

What if it doesn't fit?

If you're unsure between two sizes, order the bigger one. It's
adjustable, and a slightly loose mane looks better in photos than
a tight one.

What is it made of?

Soft acrylic yarn, hand-crocheted.

That means no plastic parts, no velcro, no snaps and no elastic —
nothing that pulls fur or presses on your cat's neck. It rests
over the head like a loose hood.

Acrylic is also warm and light, which is why cats tolerate it
better than stiff costume fabric, and it holds its shape instead
of going flat after a few wears.

Hand wash cold and lay flat to dry. Machine washing will stretch
